Customized to Fit Needs • InPlant manufactures Modular Buildings and Partitions customized to fit the specific needs of your indoor grow house, warehouse cultivation facility, or greenhouse. We begin by selecting an InPlant Structural Building Systems made from either aluminum or steel. We recommend Aluminum Systems for washdown and sanitation applications in indoor growing environments. Depending on your Modular System’s intended use and environment, InPlant will customize your Grow Room, Modular Clean Rooms, In-Plant Office, Equipment Enclosure, or smaller portable Booth—using appropriate Wall Panels for each setting.
We know that indoor growing requires a variety of equipment. Our Lighting Rail System integrates with most types of grow lighting and flow fans. The Modular System will accept all ventilation systems. For the sterile Cleanroom environments, air channels and plenums are engineered into the enclosures.
InPlant’s Modular Building Systems are known for their strength and wide spans up to 40’ without center support columns in Non-Load-Bearing applications. Our Load-Bearing Systems, reinforced with recessed I-beams on 48-inch centers, provide a load capacity of up to 125 pounds per square foot, allowing for rooftop storage or production space.
The Building System consists of Wiring Studs, Corner Posts, Wall Starters, a Ceiling Cap, and a Floor Track with Vinyl Trim
Load-bearing Support & Wiring Studs • The supporting Wiring Channels are located at each junction of the Wall Panels, typically spaced at four feet or less apart. InPlant offers structural Building System options made from steel or aluminum. Besides providing structural support, the Wiring Studs serve as wiring raceways with removable cover plates for easy access to electrical conduits and communications cables.
Corner Posts • InPlant Corner Posts incorporate expandable and non-progressive features of the InPlant Building System. Made of extruded aluminum, these Posts are anodized or painted to match your Wall Panel selection or custom color.
Wall Starters • Used for single Wall Partitions and 2 or 3 Wall configurations. InPlant Wall Starters are anchored to existing walls and securely set the leading Wall Panel, making them ideal for segmenting cultivation zones.
Ceiling Cap & Trim • The Ceiling Cap, featuring a metal angle, is visible on the exterior and conceals the roof deck (available in 20-gauge steel or aluminum).
Floor Track & Base • The Floor Track anchors to the existing floor (20-gauge steel or aluminum option). Vinyl Base Molding conceals the Floor Track along the interior and exterior of every Wall Panel and extends around the outside corners.
Wall Panels designed according to the application
InPlant’s Wall Panels have diverse qualities; their outer surfaces and inner core options are designed for specific applications, safety, environmental control, and Noise Control. You can choose from a wide variety of prefabricated Wall Panels with standard finishes or request fabrication using custom materials and paint colors. Our air-tight, non-shedding Walls are ideal for your Grow Room. Available in standard heights from 8 to 26 feet, these panels can be extended higher as needed. See our Wall Panel selections.
Loading Framed Openings • InPlant Wall Panels are specifically designed to meet your indoor growing and production requirements. We offer a variety of specialty doors, including high-speed or manual roll-up doors, bump doors, sliding doors, strip doors, or panic exit doors. Our modular design allows for numerous framed openings that accommodate conveyors, turntables, overhead crane entry, and loading components.
In the growing environment, single or double steel swing doors are pre-hung with a light-tight sealing gasket and an insulated core (standard 3×7’). The door ensures minimum exposure of your plants to any unwanted pathogens. Additionally, upon request, InPlant can install windows and security equipment such as key-card access systems on doors.
Protective, Fixed, or Functional Viewing Windows • InPlant’s standard window units are made of ¼˝ thick tempered glass and pre-installed in anodized aluminum frames. Windows span the full width of the panel, which is 48 inches or less, and may extend to various heights for aesthetic or viewing purposes (standard height: 41˝). They are available with fixed or sliding options for added functionality. Alternate window materials include tinted, wire glass, laminated, insulated, acrylic, polycarbonate, and safety glazing for equipment enclosures.
Additional Cleanroom Options
Stairs & Railings • Your Indoor Growing Cleanroom or Modular Building may require available accessories such as Prefabricated Stair Systems, Ladders, Handrails, and Gates. Engineered drawings and specifications are supplied for your review and approval.
Power • Packages may include single-pole, 3-way switches, duplex outlets, or other outlets upon request. Electrical & data raceways are located inside the Wiring Studs. Additional electrical components can be safely mounted onto the Building Systems during installation. An electrician or technician on-site shall provide the circuit breaker panel on advanced Building Systems, which is sized to fit your unique electrical needs. The electrician or distributor will also supply the electrical wiring, conduit, communication cables, and light bulbs to ensure code compliance and quality assurance.
Modular Snap Wiring is available upon request. It’s designed for easy installation, simply snapping together and linking all the pre-wired lights and outlets back to the junction box near the load center.
Modular construction is an open construction method that allows inspectors to examine the structure and wiring at any point during the installation process. This feature not only ensures compliance with safety regulations but also facilitates any necessary modifications or repairs, saving time and resources.
Decking Options • The strong corrugated steel Roof Decking (22-gauge B-deck) is covered with various overlay materials, including OSB, plywood, tread plate, and more. Upon reviewing your cultivation facility design, when load-bearing Modular Systems are specified with rooftop loads, InPlant will work closely with you to understand your unique needs and ensure that proper Roof Decking materials are selected. Whether for ancillary equipment, additional production space, or storage, each application requires different materials. We are committed to providing the best solution for your specific requirements.
Acoustic Ceiling or Cleanroom, Lighting Fixtures Vary • Steel decking provides strength to support the 2×4 grid ceiling at any height. Standard lighting fixtures have an acrylic lens cover. Most specialized lighting systems, such as indoor grow lights, are compatible with modular InPlant Grow Room mounting rails. See Lighting Supports and Air Integration.
